In the Asian Games 2018 swimming competition that ended on Friday (August 24), Team Singapore brought home a total of 6 shiny new medals – 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. Singaporean swimmer based in the U.S., Joseph Schooling, led the way by winning 2 gold medals (50m and 100m butterfly) and 2 bronze medals (men’s 4×100 and 4x200m freestyle relay). Over on the women’s team, things were a bit more dramatic when Roanne Ho was unexpectedly moved up from third to second after Japan’s Miho Teramura was disqualified, clinching the silver medal. That’s not all; in the women’s 4x100m medley relay, Singapore moved from 5th to 3rd place while Hong Kong moved from 4th to 2nd place after China and South Korea were disqualified for illegal changeovers. With all the medals won by Team Singapore, all we can hope for now is for Milo Trucks to appear everywhere in celebration of Team Singapore’s achievements.
